2013 Brain Injury Report Out Day, Richmond, VA

On Friday, 7/26/13, Zel and Rachel travelled to Richmond for the “Brain Injury Report Out Day” sponsored by DARS and the Virginia Brain Injury Council. This day provides a forum for exchanging information and making interagency connections to strengthen the statewide network of services for people with brain injury.

This year’s focus was on the risk and impact of sports concussion on young athletes and we learned some SCARY stuff about sports concussions and traumatic encephalopathy. It was even worth that hour and a half of sitting in traffic on the way home!
