Ashleigh Edwards was a sophomore at Holly Grove Christian School when she was awarded as the 1st Place Winner of the 2019 Kathleen Walsh Richardson Citizenship Award.  Ashleigh’s volunteering efforts throughout the community were extensive including having volunteered over 140 hours of her time to assist organizations such as Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital (RSMH) and Commonwealth Senior Living (CSL).  At RSMH Ashleigh assisted with transporting patients, escorting visitors, stocking the emergency department, and as well as assisting with clerical work.  At CSL, she assisted with several activities for residents there and also assisted the staff with clerical work and gardening of the facility.  Ashleigh also volunteered her time at her church, Baptist Bible Church in Accomac, with activities such as providing musical accompaniment by playing the piano and volunteering in the church nursery for children from newborn to the age of six.  Ashleigh also rang the bells for the Salvation Army with her cheerleading team at Holly Grove Christian School, which was a highlight in her application as members of No Limits Eastern Shore have participated in ringing the bells for the Salvation Army for over 15 years!  Overall Ashleigh absolutely demonstrates what it means to be a great citizen and community member.  We wish her all the best in her future endeavors!
