YouthWorks Week 1 2018

Summer is offically here and that means YouthWorks is officially back!  Hooray!  We look forward to working with this wonderful organization and the fantastic volunteers attending the YouthWorks’ mission trips all year long!  Each week a group of volunteers joins No Limits for two days which gives us an opportunity to be of service by providing brain injury prevention outreach as well as getting assistance to complete much needed projects!  This week we had an incredibly hardworking and friendly group of volunteers from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  What a great way to kickoff the summer season!  Check out the great work they helped us with below:

Day 1 – YouthWorks Week 1 joined us on their first day to receive a little brain injury prevention/awareness education and then we enjoyed a gross motor game together.

Day 2 – the project work begins!  Here we see some van washing!
Shed building!

Comfort doll making!

It’s really coming along nicely.
That van looks sharp!

Composting weeds pulled from the garden!

Protecting the shed from damage due to rain.

WOW nice work!

Another group of volunteers from YouthWorks was volunteering in our neighbor’s garden at The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore and they joined us for lunch.  This is a group photo of those wonderful volunteers outside of No Limits!
